Newsmap – type as interface

Newmap is a great example of using typography as interface. It visually represents Goggle News aggregator in a flash based application with beautiful typography & color codings. Newsmap does not pretend to replace the googlenews aggregator. Its objective is to simply demonstrate visually the relationships between data and the unseen patterns in news media.

Good thing : Nice categorization, ability to customize and you are able to capture everything at a glance.
Bad thing: No visual support at first screen, sometime images represents news better than words.
But still, newsmap is worth a visit and adding to bookmark list.

Wow this is pretty hot, i click the link & found what I was looking for just by looking at the color coding at the bottom: Entertainment!!! lol. My fav. Good looking out!
